Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup onion finely chopped
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
For the Toppings
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Method
 

Preparing the Meat Base
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and chopped onion. Cook until the beef is browned and the onion is soft, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Drain excess fat from the skillet, if necessary.
  3. Add water and taco seasoning to the skillet. Stir well to combine.
  4. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for an additional 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.
Assembling the Tacos
  1. Warm taco shells according to package instructions.
  2. Spoon the meat mixture into each taco shell.
  3. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, and a dollop of sour cream.
  4. Serve immediately and enjoy!
