Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
For the Topping
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped

Method
 

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the elbow macaroni and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 7-8 minutes.
  2. Drain the pasta and set aside. Do not rinse.
Preparing the Sauce
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onion becomes translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Stir in the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard. Mix well and let simmer for 5 minutes.
Combining
  1. Add the cooked macaroni to the skillet with the Sloppy Joe mixture. Stir to combine and heat through for about 2-3 minutes.
  2. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
Serving
  1. Serve the Sloppy Joe pasta hot, topped with shredded cheddar cheese and a sprinkle of fresh parsley.
