Method
Prepare the Pasta
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 10-12 minutes.
- Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta and set aside.
Make the Alfredo Sauce
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Add black pepper and mix well.
Combine
- Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Toss to coat the pasta evenly.
- If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.
Add Chicken
- Stir in the shredded rotisserie chicken and heat through for an additional 2-3 minutes.
Serve
- Serve hot, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
