Peanut Butter Crinkle Cookies

Ingredients
  

For the Cookie Base
  • 1 cup peanut butter smooth or crunchy
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
For the Crinkle Coating
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Method
 

Prepare the Cookie Dough
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the peanut butter, granulated sugar, egg, vanilla extract, baking powder, and salt. Mix until smooth.
  3. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes to make it easier to work with.
Shape and Bake Cookies
  1. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls.
  2. Roll each dough ball in powdered sugar until fully coated.
  3. Place the cookies on the prepared baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the tops are crinkled and set.
Cool and Serve
  1. Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes.
  2. Transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool completely before serving.

Notes
