Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 6 large croissants cut into pieces
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk whole or 2%
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
For the Topping
  • 1 cup mixed berries strawberries, blueberries, raspberries
  • 1 cup powdered sugar for dusting

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined.
  3. Add the cut croissant pieces to the mixture and gently fold until the croissants are well coated.
  4. Let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes to allow the croissants to soak up the custard.
  5. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish and pour the croissant mixture into it, spreading it evenly.
  6. Sprinkle the mixed berries on top of the croissant mixture.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the custard is set.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar and serving.

Notes
