Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage uncooked
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
For the Topping
  • 1 cup additional shredded cheddar cheese for topping

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the uncooked sausage, softened cream cheese, and shredded cheddar cheese until well mixed.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and garlic powder.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the sausage mixture, stirring until fully combined.
  5. Using your hands, form the mixture into small balls about 1 inch in diameter and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Sprinkle the additional shredded cheddar cheese on top of each sausage ball.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes
