For the Base
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
For the Frosting
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
For the Topping
  • 4 fun size Butterfinger candy bars crushed

Method
 

Prepare the Cake
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Prepare the Frosting
  1. In a medium bowl, beat together creamy peanut butter and softened butter until smooth and creamy.
  2. Gradually add powdered sugar and heavy cream, mixing until the frosting is light and fluffy.
Assemble the Cake
  1. Once the cake has cooled completely, spread the peanut butter frosting evenly over the top.
  2. Sprinkle the crushed Butterfinger candy bars over the frosting.
