Method
Prepare the Meatloaf
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and milk. Mix until well combined.
- Transfer the meat mixture to a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
Make the Glaze
- In a small saucepan, combine balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, soy sauce, and Dijon mustard.
- Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves and the mixture thickens slightly, about 5 minutes.
Bake the Meatloaf
- Brush half of the balsamic glaze over the meatloaf.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and brush with the remaining glaze. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
Rest and Serve
- Once cooked, let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Serve with your favorite sides and enjoy!
