Chinese beef and broccoli is a delicious stir-fry that brings together tender flank steak and vibrant broccoli florets in a savory sauce.   • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 3 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Marinate the sliced flank steak in soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add a splash of oil. Stir-fry the broccoli for about 3 minutes until bright green and slightly tender.
  3. Push the broccoli to one side of the pan and add the marinated beef to the other side. Cook for about 5 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  4. Add minced garlic to the pan and stir for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour any remaining marinade over the mixture and toss well.
  5. Serve immediately, optionally garnished with sesame seeds or additional soy sauce.
