  • 2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup beef broth or water
  • 2 tsp sugar (brown preferred)
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • Green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prep all ingredients: chop broccoli, mince garlic and ginger.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and ginger; sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add broccoli florets along with ¼ cup of water; cover briefly to steam for about 3-4 minutes.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, cornstarch, and broth or water until smooth. Pour over the beef and broccoli mixture.
  6. Stir well until evenly coated and cook for another minute or two until bubbling slightly.
  7. Remove from heat, drizzle with sesame oil, garnish with green onions, and serve immediately over rice or noodles.
