Instructions

  3. In a bowl, whisk together heavy cream, crushed garlic, salt, pepper, and thyme leaves.
  4. Grease a baking dish with butter. Layer half of the root vegetables in the dish. Pour half of the cream mixture over them and sprinkle half of the Gruyère cheese.
  5. Repeat layering with remaining vegetables and cream mixture. Top generously with the remaining Gruyère cheese.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown and bubbling. Let cool slightly before serving.
