  4. Punch down the dough and roll it out to 1/2 inch thick. Cut circles using a biscuit cutter.
  5. In another bowl, mix softened cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth.
  6. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat (350°F). Fry donuts until golden brown (1-2 minutes each). Drain on paper towels.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
