  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 green onions, sliced

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
  • Sriracha (optional, to taste)

Instructions

  1. Cook rice according to package instructions; set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart as it cooks. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in soy sauce and brown sugar. Mix well and simmer for 3 minutes until heated through.
  5. Add half of the sliced green onions just before removing from heat.
  6. Serve the beef mixture over rice and garnish with remaining green onions and sesame seeds. Drizzle with sriracha if desired.
