Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 prepared pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • 6 medium apples (3 Granny Smith and 3 Honeycrisp)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 4 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Prepare your pie crust according to package directions if using store-bought.
  2. Peel and thinly slice the apples. Toss them in a bowl with granulated sugar and cinnamon until well coated.
  3. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the apple mixture and mix gently.
  4. Place one pie crust in a pie dish, fill it with the apple mixture, pour remaining caramel on top, and cover with the second crust. Crimp edges to seal.
  5. Cut slits in the top crust for steam to escape, then bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Allow cooling for an hour before slicing. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream and extra caramel.
