  • 1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 8 oz dried linguini
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ cup dry white wine
  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley (chopped)
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the linguini in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente, according to package instructions. Reserve about ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and half of the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Pour in white wine, deglazing the pan, and simmer for about 2-3 minutes until slightly reduced.
  5. Stir in remaining butter, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Toss in drained linguini along with reserved pasta water until combined.
  6. Remove from heat and mix in chopped parsley. Serve immediately.
