- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup whole milk (or almond/oat milk)
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp melted butter

- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined; a few lumps are fine.
- Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it.
- Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on top (about 2 minutes), then flip and cook for an additional minute until golden brown.
