Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 spring roll wrappers
  • 1 cup green cabbage, finely shredded
  • 1/2 cup carrots, grated
  • 1/2 cup bell peppers, finely chopped (any color)
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (low-sodium recommended)
  • Oil for frying (enough for deep frying)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine cabbage, carrots, bell peppers, green onions, garlic, and soy sauce. Mix until all the vegetables are coated.
  2. Lay a spring roll wrapper flat with a corner facing you. Place about two tablespoons of filling near the bottom corner and fold tightly over the filling.
  3. Fold the sides towards the center and roll upwards to enclose the filling completely. Seal the edge with water.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat until shimmering (about 350°F / 175°C).
  5. Fry spring rolls in batches for 3-4 minutes per side or until golden brown.
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
